David Randall Blythe's NEW memoir entitled Dark Days is definitely not the typical book written by a "Rock Star". Actually, the book pretty much starts with Randy making it clear that he himself does not (and will never) consider himself a "Rock Star"; he is just a hard working man that has experienced great moments along with some very hard times throughout his career as the frontman of Lamb Of God, as a fantastic photographer, and now as an author that has tons of stories to share. Hopefully this book will inspire him to keep writing and inspiring.
Randy penciled Dark Days while he was imprisoned in Prague, Czech Republic for a crime that he did NOT commit as proven by his exoneration on June 5, 2013. In proof of his true character, Randy went thru the entire legal process because he believes in living life as an honorable person and he felt that it was the least he could do for Daniel Nosek (RIP) and his family. Daniel is the young man who lost his life after a Lamb Of God concert in Prague in 2010, which lead to Randy's Swat Team style arrest years later as soon as Lamb Of God landed in Prague during their European tour in support of Resolution.
Apart from telling the story about his imprisonment, trial and exoneration, Randy clears up any assumptions that were made during his legal process and also let's the reader into his personal life.
There is no questions that Randy's phenomenal career with Lamb Of God is highly valued by the Heavy Music community but most importantly, his respectable way of being will always serve the kids that look up to him as a perfect example of doing the right thing even when it means sacrificing years of your life, and perhaps even your very own existence!
